Vibelyst is a social marketplace where users can buy and sell unlimited categories of both goods and services. Users create a post with their budget for the item, and wait until others bid on the post. Price and terms can be negotiated between users via our messaging page, and funds will be securely transferred by using our platform. Users can also assign an emergency contact to further ensure your safety and wellbeing. Vibleyst will follow up with all users to make sure the transaction experience was pleasant and secure.

Yes!! It is completely free to look around on Vibelyst. We do not collect anything from the buyer, and there is a 20% platform fee from the seller per every successful transaction. We promise: it’s worth it :)

If you don’t respond back to our email check-ins after 22 hours, we will send a text message to your emergency contact to make sure you are safe. We will only reach out to your emergency contact if you do not respond to our emails after checkout.

You can verify your account by linking your Facebook account!

Yes! So long as you will be completing your transaction within the five boroughs of New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island) you can still do the transaction.

We only store first name, last name, and email. Your debit card information is housed on Stripe, our payment processing partner, and you can read more about it here.

All users of Vibelyst, including Buyers and Sellers, are not allowed to post about, advertise, or offer goods and/or services which are prohibited by any federal, state, or local law. All users are prohibited from selling (without limitation as to other such prohibited items) alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, livestock, weapons (including without limitation firearms), counterfeit goods or illegal drugs. Should a user fail to comply with applicable federal, state, or local laws or if such user’s posts, including without limitation goods and/or services, contain prohibited content, such user’s license to use the sites shall immediately and automatically terminate. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

You can accept as much bids as you wish.

You can accept as many bids as possible and preconfirm as many as you’d like. Keep in mind that once the preconfirmation is accepted then you and the other user are locked in to this transaction permanently.

You can’t accept a preconfirmation until your profile is complete.

You can head on over to your profile to see all of the posts you’ve made

If you go to your post page, you can delete or hide your post from there. Please be mindful of the fact that deleting the post is a permanent option, whereas hiding your post can be reversed.

You should inspect your item before you purchase, but it is not required. After you both confirm the purchase, there is no way to stop the transaction.

Once both the buyer and seller check out, the funds will be deposited and available within a few minutes.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect the conditions of the goods before checkout. You and the other person should chat and discuss the items before check out. If the item is not in proper condition, do not check out. It is in your best interest to inspect the item, and then check out. Once you check out, there is no way to get out of the deal. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Both the buyer and the seller will receive unique codes after checkout, and each user will have to exchange the codes to enable to check in (“Check-In”). After a few hours, Vibelyst will send a follow up email to each user to see how the process went. Users are strongly encouraged to respond to the emails as soon as possible, as Vibelyst will continue to reach out and confirm that the transaction was completed and the users are safe. If there is a pre-appointed emergency contact, they will be notified 22 hours after the check in.

Conversations can only be started from a post page.

Users can communicate with each other through the messaging feature. The buyer and the seller can discuss the meetup location and then go from there.

The emergency contact feature is meant to be an additional layer of security to our users. This field is optional in your profile.
